In reply to Sarah Glass. 100%. My Mom had 5 home births before becoming a L&D nurse and before that she was a doula and childbirth educator. She became a nurse to try to change things in her hospital, reduce C Section rates, honor women's birth plans etc. But now she is off the floor in an education position.

Thank you so Much for posting this. I had two textbook pregnancies and deliveries and was hit with this same bombshell at 21 weeks. My cervix is so covered she pretty much said there’s very little chance of it moving enough. Placenta is also anterior so there are big concerns with hemorrhage since they will have to go through the placenta to get to the baby. You post made me feel so much better that I can get through the pregnancy without bleeding and that I can get through a difficult delivery.

Just curious. Your mom was an L & D nurse and you still would rather have done a home birth with your first 2 rather than a hospital birth?

Thanks for sharing. I’ve beeb planning for a homebirth with baby no 2 & just found out i have placenta previa so went searching for positive csection stories! Great honest account of your experience
