Baby Shower!

A few weeks ago, my mom and (four) sisters threw me the most lovely baby shower and I thought I’d share it with you today!

It was full of Baker Chick-inspired activities like this onesie cookie decorating station which was just SO cute. Don’t I have the most creative and talented friends? I did one cookie and I didn’t look nearly as cute as these. :)

I know I wasn’t *supposed to*, but I couldn’t resist helping with the dessert table, and made Pumpkin Cupcakes and Fudgy Sea Salt Brownie Bites. A friend of mine brought that lovely ombre cake!

One of the most surpirsing gifts was that lovely quilt made by my friend Rebecca. Isn’t it adorable? My Mom also crocheted me the most lovely baby blanket- I can’t wait to cuddle this little boy with them!!

I got a kick out of this baby pool- everyone made a prediction of when they think baby will arrive, his weight etc. I have stopped being friends with the person who predicted I’d have a 13 lb. baby but other than that it was fun ;)

One of the biggest treats of the day was that some of my NYC blogging friends were able to come! (Plus Krissy who was visiting the city from San Diego that week!) It was so nice to get to see Lauren, Jacqueline, Krissy and Joanne!

Of course we had dessert-themed favors! My Mom and I made these chocolate chip cookie mixes in a jar. They were so fun to make and the cookies actually turn out so well!  (And guess what? I’m going to share the recipe with you all on Friday!!)

PS- I woke up today to the best surprise- A bunch of my blogging friends (including the ladies pictured above,) have organized the most wonderful “Virtual Baby Shower” for me today. I am so touched by all their sweetness. Make sure to check out what they made!!

  3. Audra! You and your sisters put together such beautiful things… such an artistic bunch! I cannot wait to meet the sweet baby boy! Are you by any chance planning to post the sugar cookie recipe that made the baby onesie cookies? They were delicious!!

    1. Hey love! The cookie recipe is from a blog called Bake at 350. I do plan to share it though- check it out there in the meantime- its the base sugar cookie she uses for pretty much everything!

    1. Thanks so much dear- I always feel like it must be tricky to find participants for these things without giving it away :) I’m sure you would have made something wonderful! Xo

  4. I’m SO incredibly happy that I was in town for your shower & was able to go! It was the best thing being able to see you and your cute little belly. Now I just need to go back & visit when the little man arrives :). Btw- In LOVE with that picture of all of us! How cute is Zekey in Jacqueline’s arms!

  5. My goodness, the shower looks so lovely — as do you! I adore the decorated cookie idea. So cute. And the virtual baby shower is so sweet!

  6. Been a long time follower & don’t know how I missed this wonderful post. You look so gorgeous (& sistah’s do too). Sooo many great recipies offered. I just made Julie’s Mini Gingerbread Whoopie Pies. The only deviation was that I added a small amount of reconstituted currents to the cookie dough and added lemon juice to some of my left over cream cheese frosting. Wow!!! These rock! I also learned that cream cheese frosting freezes up great! It never gets rock hard which is dangerous ‘cuz it makes it too easy to take a spoon to when you get the urge. Making more of these wonderful recipes, now that I discovered them. What a wonderful group of friends. Can totally feel the love!
