To be honest- I rarely take evening photos. I normally take them late morning/early afternoon when there’s some nice light coming into my kitchen.
I have a Speedlite flash though, that I’ve used a few times successfully at night.

But 100% I prefer just waiting for that moment of good light. A pain I know…
