Bravo! for taking the plunge. My Mother was into crochet and tried to teach me. Big problem tho as she was left-handed and I am right--very Right-handed. So I gave up on yarny things untll middle age when it "seemed" I had more time for hobbies. I took a class for knitting at my LYS (local yarn shop) and watched many hours of tutorials on You Tube and other sites. I knit pretty well now and do some for family and friends as well as the hospital and other charities. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to create something useful with one's own hands and I am thankful that I took the time to learn, plus its a great diversion to cozy-up with during our long Montana winters.
