Hi! You need to use No bake noodles because the extra filling cooks them. If you didn't buy no-bake the yes- the filling would be too much. Most grocery stores sell no-bake lasagna noodles.
So Sorry it didn't work out for you!

I was really excited to try this recipe. It was terribly expensive but since it is Christmas I splurged. The spinach filling made enough for two pans of lasagna. Your photo shows it almost to the top of the pan. In actuality it was an inch over the pan so it poured all over the oven (yes, I had foil under it) but what a smoky mess. 10 degrees outside and I have all windows open with the fan going. When I took it out of the oven with the bubbly, toasty cheese on top it was so beautiful! I let it set for a half hour or so, cut the servings out, and the filling just poured like a river of green mud. Way Way Way too much filling for one package of noodles. One small bite of noodle to heaping tablespoons of green slop. Yes it tasted good but no one wants to just sit and eat spoons of ricotta cheese. I wanted lasagna. Lasagna is noodles with sauce and cheese, not sauce and cheese with a little noodle. No I'll never make it again, what will I do with what I have? How can I salvage what I have?? Maybe scoop out all that extra filling and freeze it to go with rigatoni or some other pasta later on? So disappointed. I don't think you followed the same recipe that I did. So disappointed. What a waste of so much money on a Senior's fixed budget. One Pound of ricotta and 6 oz of the horribly expensive gruyere would have been plenty for a nice layer between each layer of noodles. And how can you say to use "No Bake" noodles and then tell us to bake it??? There is no such thing as no bake noodles. How did this recipe come up near the top. Stupid me. Never again. Horrible food. Why would you double the sauce when it was totally unnecessary and completely ruins the experience?

I would saute either of those and add to the filling! Cook down and brown as much as you can
