Thanks for the great soup recipe, Audra. I've been trying to expand my soup repertoire as I am now cooking for my elderly parents. Made the soup today. So easy. Yum! Had to substitute diced zucchini because a family member can't eat beans. Also added corn tortillas directly to the soup at the end for extra body. It came out great. The cheese, sour cream and squeeze of citrus were the perfect finishing touches!

What kind of chili powder did you use for the enchilada sauce?

This sounds so good, and different from the Tortilla Soup I usually make. I will make this one! Soon.

I am confused by your use of asterisks in your recipes. I always look for the corresponding note and cannot find it. Where have I gone wrong???

I so enjoy your blog and your wonderful recipes.
