In reply to David C. Hi! I have made this recipe many times and never had the dough seem soupy! I think that humidty affects bread dough a lot so that may be a factor.

I finally tried this recipe today and my husband said it’s the best chicken pot pie he’s ever had. It was really tasty! I used frozen mixed veggies and subbed cauliflower for the potatoes (diet restriction). I made my own pie crust; butter, tad bit of bacon grease, added a little paprika and celery seed (check to see if your diet allows this). Love that the portions are just right for us seniors. I will use your hints about warming the leftovers in microwave and then crisp up in the Breville oven. Might just make again to have some in the freezer, love the days I have leftovers and no cooking!!!
