Apple Fritter Cake

Fall dessert perfection, a moist and tender cake with juicy apple chunks and a sugary glaze.

Tart apples (I used honey crisp here,) are tossed with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and lemon juice for a perfect cake filling.

- flour - sugar - brown sugar - butter - cinnamon - apples - eggs - milk

Ingredients

In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar followed by the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients and milk.

Spoon half the batter into the pan followed by half the apples, the rest of the batter and then the remaining apples.

Bake for 45-55 minutes and then make the glaze by stirring together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.

Pour glaze on warm cake, slice and enjoy with your favorite cup of coffee or other warm and comforting drink. Enjoy!
